The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.

Richard Bach

While I COMPLETELY understand that one’s family of origin is of utter importance to our molding as adults, once we have been shaped by our genetic family we can then choose our family.  And yes, I know we choose our genetic family We may well choose to continue our relationship with our genetic family or for whatever the reason may be we may choose to build a new one.
MagneticSouls

Your family of choice is whoever embraces you, whoever loves you, whoever will not leave your side.  Your family of choice, your true family is who you feel most comfortable with. They are those who are in your soul group.

I’m so fortunate to have a close circle of friends. They are my genetic friends. They are the friends I go to when I need reassurance, when I need someone to vent to, when I need to laugh.  If not for my genetic friends, I surely would not be where I am today.  We all have these people in our lives and I’m willing to bet that most of us have never considered that our genetic friends may well be in our soul group.  I’m here to tell you that you should consider it.  What other reason can you come up with for feeling an instant connection to someone.

Among this circle, there is one person who has slowly become my best friend, the person who will not leave my side, the person I can count on.  I’m convinced we have traveled together in each of our incarnations.  I’m convinced she is in my soul group.  From the moment we met I felt a connection to her.  We are bonded by something greater than friendship. We are family.  I’m fortunate to have found another member of my soul group in her.

I’m far from saying the others in my circle are less important, for they all have played important roles in shaping the person I have become.  They all have been there for me at various stages in my life when I needed them.  I owe each of them more than they will EVER know.

Writers:

The first time I EVER felt an instant connection with someone was with a writer.  We both attended a writer’s course in 1989.  As I sat at my desk waiting for the class to begin, he walked into the room and I KNEW immediately that we were going to connect and be friends.  How did I know that?  I believe it is because our souls recognized each other.  See? I think we meet the others in our soul group when we most need them.  This particular writer arrived at a time when I most needed a confidant.  He became extremely important to me.  He listened to me when I went through a particularly challenging time in my life.  Now in 2014 we still stay in touch.  We are still friends.  Twenty five years later and we are still friends.

When I met another one of my friends in the early 1990s, she arrived (A little inside joke) at writer’s group for the first time and said EXACTLY what I felt:
She felt an instant bond, a connection unlike any other.  She knew in a moments glance that we’d be friends forever.  That doesn’t just happen.  I think again, it’s because our souls recognized each other.  Those in our soul groups are NOT necessarily romantic partners.  They are simply those we travel with during our incarnations and our transitions. We will EVENTUALLY find EVERYONE in our soul group, but only when we need to.

Our souls are magnetic and when we come into contact with others in our soul group, we vibrate at the same frequency. We have no choice but to be bonded.  We may not connect with everyone in our soul group for some time.  It took almost thirty years to find this particular person.  I believe we choose when we will meet when we are in Transition Hall.  We meet those in our soul group when we need them most.  And now it is over twenty years later and we are still friends. See?  We were right. Though twenty years is far from a lifetime, it IS the longest friendship I’ve maintained.  We’ve seen many challenges in each other’s lives.  We’ve seen some blessings as well.

The third writer I connected with now lives in Florida.  He returns to visit once a year and the three of us can pick up RIGHT where we left off.  We all have a Block Island obsession.  It’s another connection we share.  We traveled to Block Island in June as we do when he returns every year.

Madison Connecticut Business Owners:

Four of the others are partnered up.  Both couples own businesses in Madison.  And were it not for one business I surely would not have met the other couple.  Or my TRUE soul brother, Jeff.  You SIMPLY MUST read the previous link to see all the connections Jeff and I share.  After reading it then tell me you don’t believe.  I dare you!

It was in the land of misfit toys that I found my safe haven.
It was in the land of misfit toys that I met all of the others in my soul group.

I love all of my genetic friends in my soul group.  They are all so important to me and these two couples have been my sounding board for so many challenges that have cropped up in my life.  So many times I have come to them and they have listened.  That’s what your friends are for.  Sometimes, I have simply needed them to listen.  That’s something I struggle with, knowing when to just listen and when to offer advice.  When someone has something negative happening in their lives, my first inclination is to reach out and help.  It’s who I am.  I want to make everything better.  Sometimes someone simply wants an ear.  Sometimes someone simply wants a shoulder.  Not necessarily advice on how to fix something.  That’s just one of the reasons why not only the two couples are in my small circle of friends, why they are family, but why each of my friends here are so important to me.  I’m convinced now and will be until I transition that EVERYONE here is in my soul group.  Each one of these people and I felt an instant connection.  Magnets attract.  Our souls are magnetic.  Naturally, we vibrate at the same frequency as others in our soul group.  Hence those in our soul group recognize each other by our vibrations.   It’s the people I feel an instant connection too who I KNOW are in my soul group.  That feeling doesn’t just happen.  If you find it happening to you, pay attention to it.  Consider that connection may be the magnets in your souls attracting each other.  And remember!

Soul mates don’t necessarily have to be romantic.
Soul mates are everyone in your soul group.
Soul mates are part of your true family.

We all have a soul group.
We all have our genetic friends.

Who are yours?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.

Fiction is Now My Main Squeeze

Last month on July 29, I wrote Fiction is My Mistress.  I have now decided that for the time being, until my new project is complete, I have to put CJPPhotoNews and Wisdom and Life into hibernation.  Up until last November, I didn’t think I would return to writing fiction again.  Now though, […]
